Have you ever wondered what the best fishing time is? That is to say, when is the best time to fish? Most of us realize that mornings and evenings are better times for fishing than most other times of the day, right? So does the best fishing time end there, with mornings and evenings? Of course not, and in this article we're going to discuss how to determine what the best fishing time really is.
Before I begin, let me ask you a question. Have you ever had one of those epic days fishing where it seemed like you could do no wrong? When it seemed like no matter what you threw into the water resulted in fish being caught? Most of us have had fishing experienced like this, and what's interesting about this is types of experiences can be predicted and planned for. Your fishing excursions can be planned around the best fishing time.
So how do we go about determining the best fishing time (other than mornings and evenings of course)? The best way to determine the best fishing time is to familiarize yourself with the weather & moon, and the way these two forces of Mother Nature impact the behavior of fish. These two forces have an incredible impact on the feeding activity of fish, and planning your fishing excursions around this information will pay huge dividends.

What's the best way to be able to tell the size of your fish? It's a tape measure, right. Measuring how large your catch is probably the most effective way to know how large your fish actually is. I know for me , if you say "I caught a 14 inch Rainbow", I know exactly what you're referring to. To me this means that measuring your catch in inches is a universal barometer of how large your fish is.
Sure, there are going to be variations as far as the weight of your catch goes, but for the most part measuring your catch in inches gives everyone a great idea of the size of your fish. So we carry tape measures with us in our tackle boxes, or if we're waders we carry small tape measures in our fishing vests. Carrying a tape measure has worked fine for me for many years, it's simply that every time I need to measure a fish, my tape measure is never where I thought I put it, and I end up having to rifle through my fishing vest like some sort of coked up mail sorter trying to find it.

Sure you can try to navigate unfamiliar waters, and hope to catch fish in places that you do not know if they even exist, or you can do something better and hire a fishing guide. There are many benefits to hiring a fishing guide. They may be more expensive then trying to do it alone, but the advantages definitely outweigh the disadvantages.
First, and most importantly on a fishing trip, you will catch more fish. Fishing guides are in the waters every single day and know exactly where the best pockets of fish live. They are familiar with the habits of the particular fish species and when the best time to catch them is, and where in the water they tend to swim to during certain parts of the day. This can only mean one thing - catching more quality fish that you can keep and hopefully later eat. They simply put you in the right place at the right time.

When choosisng the type of saltwater reels you want to use, you may want to consider where you'll be fishing. Different reels, much like other saltwater equipment, are geared toward different uses and will come in handier in some areas of the open waters than others. For example, Daiwa has a line called Steez that produces reels, rods, and line, all of which it touts as bass gear.
However, if you are going to be fishing for inshore saltwater species, the lightweight powerhouse spinning reel works as one of the best reels available. There are two models of this particular line of reels, one weighing 6.9 ounces and the other 7.1 ounces. They are made of magnesium, titanium, and other lightweight composites and inside, they contain super-corrosion-resistant ball bearings, great for saltwater use.
One of the most well known, recognizable names is Penn Spinfisher. The latest in this line of reels is the Spinfisher SSm, available in three different sizes. It has a full-metal body, five ball bearings, and infinite anti-reverse for solid hook-sets and smooth performance.

Night fly fishing can be, for most novice fishers, a delicate approach in implementing this sport. To go out in the dark could mean many things. It can mean an exciting feat to overcoming different fears and challenges that the dark has to offer compared when an angler is fishing in broad daylight.
But night fishing, depending on the purpose of the fly fisher, can be useful in some ways. For instance, fishing during the day when the specie that you are looking forward to catch doesn't normally swim the waters at this time of the day normally suggests that night is the best time to do it. To emphasize this point further, large trouts for example, are best to catch at night during the summer days. This doesn't literally mean that you are just pointlessly trying to fish at night just for the challenge it offers.
