Before heading out to catch some bass, take a look at these 20 important bass Fishing Tips.
1. Fish slowly, providing better action and enabling the fish to have ample eye contact.
2. When the bite seems to slow down, you should slow also down. Work methodically until you find the fish.
3. Always be aware of your weather forecast. Wind, storms, and lightening kill. Safety comes first.
4. If wet feet bother you on rainy days, try a pair of GORE-TEX sox. They are waterproof and can be worn in any shoe or boot.
5. Be alert and watchful. Fish give away their presence 90% of the time through baitfish fleeing; surface action; or vegetation movement.
6. Always look in a bass’ mouth before releasing it. Most of the time, when fighting a lure in his jaw, a bass will try to throw up whatever is in his stomach. You may be able to determine what prey the fish are actively feeding on and choose a lure/presentation to duplicate it.
7. Set the hook on a fish by feel rather than by sight.
8. Regularly check your knot for weakness and hook for sharpness.
9. Bass are not that smart. A swivel does not affect the action of a lure in a negative way and fish don’t really care about it. Use one anytime there is the potential for line twist.
10. If you are using small Hooks, don't jerk hard on the hookset; just tighten up the slack with the rod and reel faster.

Imagine this: You are on sitting on the dock, feet hanging over the side, and a fishing pole in your hand. You are talking to your best friend, drinking a coke, when there is a quick jerk on your fishing pole. You start reeling as fast as you can, and after a minute or two the fish finally emerges from the water hanging from your lure on the end of the line. What an adrenaline rush.
Fishing is one of the most popular and relaxing ways for one to spend their leisure time. It is also one of the best ways to bond with family and friends. I’ll never forget the first time my dad took me fishing, it is one the best memories of my childhood.
Fishing like many other sports and hobbies requires costly equipment. A boat can cost as much as a new car. Fishing poles can cost anywhere from $20-$200. Don’t forget about other equipment such as fishing line, weights, a tackle box, and most importantly a vast variety of fishing lures.
Lures are the main factor that decides whether or not you catch a fish. Different fish are attracted to certain types and colors of lures, at certain times of the year. So to be prepared for all these circumstances a fisherman must have an extensive assortment of fishing lures.
Instead of buying fishing lures some fisherman choose to make their own.

Largemouth Bass love to hang out around boat docks. For them, this is a good place to hide in the cover, get shade from the sun, and to find bait fish when the dinner bell rings.
So it stands to reason that this is good place to fish for them. The problem is getting your bait to them. The overhand cast will usually send your fishing lure to the top of the boat dock, potentially lodging in the boards and such that the dock is made of.
The best way to do this is to use an sidearm cast or an underhand cast. Pitching and flipping are good methods. This article is not designed to cover the 'how to' of casting, but to let you know the best way to fish a boat dock.
