Fishing

What's the best way to be able to tell the size of your fish? It's a , right. Measuring how large your catch is probably the most effective way to know how large your fish actually is. I know for me , if you say "I caught a 14 inch Rainbow", I know exactly what you're referring to. To me this means that measuring your catch in inches is a universal barometer of how large your fish is.

Sure, there are going to be variations as far as the weight of your catch goes, but for the most part measuring your catch in inches gives everyone a great idea of the size of your fish. So we carry tape measures with us in our tackle boxes, or if we're waders we carry small tape measures in our fishing vests. Carrying a tape measure has worked fine for me for many years, it's simply that every time I need to measure a fish, my tape measure is never where I thought I put it, and I end up having to rifle through my fishing vest like some sort of coked up mail sorter trying to find it.
