You have probably read plenty of articles on the best lakes, rivers, and other bodies of water where you can find the most or the biggest bass in your general area. However, how in depth were these articles regarding the area of those water bodies to target for the best Bass Fishing? If you think about it, there are certain areas where bass like to congregate, and these spots will carry over into any body of water you want to fish. If there are any bass in the nearby lake or pond, here is where you will find the best fishing in that water.
All bass like structure, and some species (like white bass) find it necessary to survival. You should look for nature structure, like fallen trees on deep banks for the best bass fishing in any lake or river. These structures are used as bridges for bass, who need the shelter from the current to move from deeper to more shallow waters for spawning.
In best case scenario, the top portion of the fallen tree will be in water at least eight feet deep, with the trunk resting on the bank. For best results, swim a jig 'n pig through the branches or roll a spinnerbait slowly lengthways down the tree, careful to make contact with it. These imitate the small insects and rodents upon which the bass normally feed. Note that areas with early emerging vegetation are especially hot because they provide both sustenance for the adults and cover for the eggs and spawn as they emerge.
